I aim to give the people I work with the best - quality, custom fit design with easy to use content management tools. My web design services include search engine optimization and accessibility features on top of developing a custom-made design. I pay attention to tiny details such as favicons to give your website a finished look.

While basking in the challenge of creating a sophisticated web app or multipurpose corporate website, I also strive to make web design affordable to everyone - beginning authors and artists - those who really need to jump-start their career. It is a balancing act between giving the best online "face" & shipping a project in a timely manner and I specialize in doing both  ;)

Check out some of the projects I worked on recently:

Writing Mamas is a growing community of talented women who do not only balance their family & career but write about it. Their writing is raw and honest. Their readings at Mamas Monologues, Litquake and their book launches are always powerful performances. It was a pleasure to do a website that does them justice. The website is a crown for those jewels to shine. WritingMamas.com is powered by Wordpress that makes managing the community and publishing their work a cinch!

Valitova.com is a website of a talented composer Lilia Valitova. We spent many hours discussing how to portrait her feminine yet powerful music and her international career. Once we were done with the design stage, I delivered the coding and testing stage of website building in two days for her big upcoming performance.

The website of forensic expert Stephen M. Raffle, M.D. is warm, inviting and full of special knowledge just like he is. Apart from the design, I am really proud that his new website got Google Page Ranking from 0 to 4 in less than a month due to skillful SEO campaign that we conducted. He also got a new client a couple of days after the website was up. PsychiatristExpertWitness.com is powered by Wordpress Content Management System that makes uploading the current articles and news easy for the staff.

WikiPik was a fun and challenging project where I was responsible for interaction and visual design. The site's complex architecture and novel idea required a lot of brainstorming & braintwisting. I love how simple and uncontrived it looks.

This is a site I did for my favorite Sunset Magazine editor Samantha Schoech plus a few additional concepts that I presented to my client. Samantha went for a sophisticated literary look in one of her favorite colors. During this project, I learned to love robin's egg blue, too.

User interface for a prototype greeting card website. After conducting basic market research, I found that the weakest spot of a greeting site is the amount of time it takes to locate the card that a user likes. There are three different ways of finding e-cards on this site. Sending a card is made very easy as well.

A website of an accomplished author, Nicki Richesin. Nicki is the editor of three anthologies, Because I Love Her: 34 Women Writers Reflect on the Mother-Daughter Bond (Mira, April, 2009); an as-yet-untitled father-daughter collection (Mira, May, 2010); and The May Queen: Women on Life, Work, and Pulling it all Together in your Thirties (Tarcher, 2006). In her own words:"Thank you so very much for my gorgeous website! I'm impressed by everything - the photos, layout, and glorious design. It's better than I could have imagined."

Markus is the founder of WikiWise, the company behind Wikipik, a web app for comparing & ranking products or services. I created websites for the founder, company, and CMS based blog.

I speak English, Russian, German, Tatar, and un petit peu of French. In fact, the first site in this collection is for an apparel boutique in Russia. The second is a proposal for the Writing Mamas, a diverse group of San Francisco Bay Area mothers who get together to write & read, followed by mockups for a web design company that is my paean to chartreuse. I love this color!
